Sodium Silico Fluoride (SSF) - Technical Grade
SSF is one of the two main products that our company makes. The chemical name for SSF is Sodium Fluorosilicate, and its chemical formulae is Na2SiF6. The product, which is an inorganic compound, has the appearance of a free-flowing white crystalline powder with a slightly pungent smell. The purity of the SSF that we develop is at 98% with 0.5% moisture and 1.5% maximum insoluble matter.
Our Sodium Silico Fluoride (SSF) has the following uses and applications:-
- Glass manufacturing especially with the production of opal glass.
- Water fluoridation, which is the adjustment of fluoride levels in water to reduce the risk of tooth decay
- Laundry souringowing to the benefits it has over the other souring products like sodium fluoride.
- SSF is used in the making of gum/adhesivesgiven its application as a preservative.
- Foundry flux production, which helps with the removal of the impurities in molten metals.
